A Chatham woman has been slapped with charges after getting physical with Chatham-Kent Police.

The woman was already under court orders not to communicate with property manager of her apartment building, but yesterday saw the manager at a nearby variety store and started yelling at her.

Officers tracked down the accused on Lacroix Street. While she was being taken into custody, the 58-year-old allegedly kicked and punched the arresting officer.

She’s now been charged with failing to comply with her release conditions, resisting arrest, and assaulting police.
