A Chatham man is facing charges, accused of attacking another man.
Authorities say the victim came to police headquarters around 11 o’clock last night, claiming he’d been assaulted by an acquaintance wielding a meat cleaver.
The victim was taken to hospital for non-life threatening injuries, and the accused, a 29-year-old man was found and arrested.
He’s now facing charges of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, aggravated assault, and three counts of failing to comply with his release conditions.
