Chatham-Kent Police are asking area residents to keep their eyes peeled following an attempted armed robbery in Chatham.
Authorities say shortly before 7 o’clock the night of November 3rd, a man walked into Harvey’s Variety on Harvey Street and brandished a weapon. After being confronted by the store owner, the suspect fled on foot, heading west on Harvey and then turning south on Raleigh Street.
The accused is described as a white man, about 5’6” tall, wearing a black jacket with a fur-trimmed hood, a black toque, a dark facemask, black skinny jeans and black high-top shoes with white laces.
Police say the store owner was not physically harmed during the incident.
