A Wallaceburg man is facing charges after an ATV collided with a school bus.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to the collision on Nelson Street just outside of Wallaceburg on Wednesday shortly before 6 p.m.

The occupants on the school bus were not injured and only minor damages to the vehicle were reported.

Believing the driver of the ATV had been drinking, officers took him into custody. The driver was taken to police headquarters for breath tests.

As a result, a 23-year-old Wallaceburg man is now charged with impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit. He has since been released with conditions and a date in court later this month.
