Several charges have been laid after the driver of an ATV attempted to flee from police officers in Wallaceburg.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to Fraser Road after receiving complaints and attempted to pull over the ATV.
The driver of the ATV failed to stop for the officers and then tried to outrun officers on foot. Following a brief chase, police arrested the accused.
A 31-year-old Wallaceburg man is now charged with the dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, failing to stop for police, failing to identify himself to officers, and driving while suspended. He has been released with a future court date on May 25.
