
A sentencing date has been set for a Wallaceburg woman who killed a Dover Township man three and a half years ago in Wallaceburg.
Kourtny Audette pleaded guilty to manslaughter for the stabbing death of 24-year-old Nick Laprise, and will be sentenced February 24th.
The 28-year-old woman was initially charged with first degree murder following her arrest in April, 2018.
Audette’s lawyer has asked for a suspended sentence and three years’ probation, while the Crown requested 10 years behind bars and a lifetime weapons ban.
