Thousands of dollars has been raised to support several community groups.
Admission to this weekend’s Chatham Indoor Auto Show was by donation, and while attendance was down by roughly 300 people, the amount of money raised was up.
Almost a dozen local dealers were on hand at the Bradley Convention Centre for the three-day event, showcasing new vehicles.
Over the course of the auto show, visitors contributed $5282 in cash, just over $400 more than last year, and $4000 in non-perishable items.
Proceeds support six local charities, including the Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent, Outreach for Hunger, Salvation Army, Chatham Goodfellows, the CKHA Foundation, and CK Hospice.
