The average price of a home in Chatham-Kent is nearly 30% more than it was this time last year – reaching just under $207,000 last month.
However, the number of new listings is down 27%, with just 180 new listings entering the market in June.
This is the lowest June level the Chatham-Kent Association of Realtors has seen in nearly two decades.
President of the Association Kristi Willder says the total number of listings last month was just over 300 – a record-low for this time of year, and down 43% from last year.
