A Blenheim man has been arrested after attempting to avoid the watchful eye of police early Saturday morning.

Chatham-Kent Police were helping the OPP following a crash at Creek Road and Highway 40 when a vehicle approaching the scene made a quick U-turn.

Officers caught up with the vehicle and say the driver was under the influence of alcohol.

The 42-year-old was arrested and taken to police headquarters for tests. He’s now facing charges of operation while impaired with a blood alcohol level over 80. He’ll have face the charge in court next month.
