A suspicious person call in Chatham has led to an arrest.

Chatham-Kent Police say they initially got a call Sunday morning about a man walking near McNaughton Avenue West and Sandys Street, and found the accused walking barefoot down the road carrying a number of marijuana plants.

Authorities say the suspect was too drunk to care for himself, and was taken into custody. As it turns out, the plants had been stolen from a nearby home.

The 18-year-old was released from custody and will be back in court next month.
