With an overwhelming amount of feedback on the future of Wallaceburg’s Base Line Bridge, the municipality has decided to delay a report to council.

Originally expected to be discussed on March 2nd, the report will now be pushed back to April 27th council meeting.

As well, the deadline for an online survey has been extended to February 28th to garner even more public feedback on the issue.

The bridge is in need of repairs, but administration is trying to decide whether to keep the span as a swing bridge to allow taller boat traffic through, or go with the cheaper option of changing it to a fixed structure.
