B&E, Car Hopping Lands Local Man With Charges

Charges have been laid after a weekend break-in.

Police responded to a King Street West business early Sunday afternoon.

Investigators say a man broke the front windows of the store and began removing items. He allegedly left the building, threw some broken glass at a nearby vehicle, the jumped on the hood of a second vehicle, causing damage to the body and windshield.

Officers arrived as the man began to damage a third vehicle and brought him into custody.

The 27-year-old is charged with break and enter, theft, and three counts of mischief.
