The Wallaceburg and District Chamber of Commerce held their annual Business and Community Excellence Awards last night (April 27) at the Oak’s Inn.
Walking away as winners were 99.1′s Greg Hetherington and Gary Patterson as Business Professionals of the Year. Greg and Gary then humbly downplayed their involvement in the community and suggested there are many others in the area who work tirelessley day after day, year after year who deserve praise like this much more.
Scott & Stacey Ewing were honoured as Citizens of the Year following a very successful campaign as co-chairs for the local United Way!
Other award winners included Canadian Tire as Retail Business o the Year, Dave Elliot as Community Builder of the Year, Howell Welding or Industrial Acheivement, Home Depot for Community Inclusion, The Mathany Family with the Heritage Award, Chip Gordon as the Good Neighbour and Farmers of North of America with the Agricultural Award.
