Good news for beach goers this long weekend.
The Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit has re-opened a pair of beaches that had been closed due to blue-green algae.
Getty’s and Pier Road Beaches are again open to swimmers.
Officials will continue to monitor Chatham-Kent beaches as the season progresses.
