Charges have been laid against a Lakeshore man in connection to a brief standoff in Belle River earlier this week.

Provincial Police say officers were held at bay for about an hour Tuesday morning before a 50-year-old man surrendered without incident.
Two restricted semi-automatic handguns were seized from the home.
The accused is now facing charges of pointing a firearm and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
The investigation is continuing.
