The Big Bike in Support of Heart and Stroke Foundation is peddling across Chatham-Kent this week.
Wallaceburg teams from businesses, community groups and schools peddled around the block downtown all afternoon raising money for the cause.
Bikers started and stopped at the Black Goose, and owner Mark Childs says that’s the way it’s been for a long long time.
“It was something that we started back when my brother was still alive,” says Childs. “He began the project with Heart and Stroke and it’s something we’ve carried on ever since. We’ve had a bike since it’s inception, sponsored every year, loved every minute of it and have been the host every year.”
Thousands of dollars was raised for heart and stroke research and support.
