Chatham-Kent’s youth mentoring organization will now be going by a different name.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Chatham-Kent will continue operations in the municipality under the name Empower Youth CK.

In a social media post, Empower Youth CK officials said under the new brand, the organization will continue to support youth in the community in reaching their full potential. They also expect to be able to serve more young people, cut down on wait lists, and meet the evolving needs of local youth more efficiently.

Also, officials said the main goal of Empower Youth CK will be to support the start-up of the new BGC Chatham-Kent, formerly the Boys and Girls Club.

Further updates on the rebrand are expected in the near future.
