Canadian rock icons Big Sugar are making a stop in Chatham this summer.

The group is going to play the Chatham Capitol Theatre on Saturday, June 22 as part of a two-day celebration for RM Sotheby’s 40th Anniversary.

The Canadian rock band is fronted by Gordie Johnson, an avid dodge charger enthusiast.

If that wasn’t sweet enough, proceeds from the concert will benefit the Chatham-Kent Hospice.

“We’re proud to support an organization as important as the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation with our events,” says RM founder Rob Myers. “The Hospice has touched so many families in our community, including my own, and we look forward to seeing enthusiasts of all ages rocking out to Big Sugar at the Capitol Theatre for an amazing cause.”

Local act Superfly will take the stage as the opener. Ticket details are expected to be announced soon.

The Sam Roberts Band will be playing Tecumseh Park in Chatham the night previous, with proceeds going to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation.
