Around 200 bikers from across the region cruised the Chatham-Kent countryside during the 3rd Annual VON Poker Run.

The event co-incided with Duke Harley Davidson’s 10th anniversary.

Organizer Toni Nassar says the VON offers a lot of programs and all the money raised goes right back to the local chapter of the VON.

“A lot of bikers have experienced accidents and the VON nurse was the nurse that took care of them,” says Nassar. “There’s a connection there. VON also has programs tailored to senior exercise, community support, PSW, our kids’ circles program helps children cope with the loss of a loved one.”

Stops were made in Lighthouse Cove, Wheatley, Erieau and Blenheim.
