A recent donation of much-needed equipment is helping to support children within the Chatham-Kent community.
A Go Glider bike, a Balance Bike, a Scooter, four Zuma Rocker Chairs, and a Hokki stool have been donated to the Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent to benefit two of the organization’s programs — The Rad Riders Bike Camp and School Based Rehabilitation Services
The donation was recently made by Plasman, an automotive components manufacturer, after the treatment centre identified areas of need.
A Zuma Rocker Chair looks like a traditional classroom chair but has cantilever legs that allow for a gentle rocking motion while seated. Hokki stools are similar in that they allow children to remain seated while providing a safe and stable means of movement.
The bikes and the scooter will be used at the bike camp for 2023 to help educate kids on how to ride a bike and teach community bike safety.
