A networking event for local charities and community-focused businesses is taking place this week.
The Chatham-Kent Chamber of Commerce will host the BizConneCKt Not-for-Profit Showcase at the Links of Kent Golf and Event Centre in Chatham on Wednesday from 4:30 p.m. until 6 p.m.
The event will highlight the work of local organizations that provide a wide range of services and causes, including education, healthcare, and social services, as well as community and economic development.
Parents are also encouraged to bring high school students who are looking for volunteer hours, career exploration, or meaningful ways to give back to the community. Seniors and retirees, employers, and other community members looking to give back are also invited to attend.
Chamber officials say the BizConneCKt Not-For-Profit Showcase is designed to inspire involvement, awareness, and appreciation for the organizations that make Chatham-Kent a better place to live, work, and grow.
