Wallaceburg’s Childs family is supplying the local community with a delivery-style soup kitchen, starting this week.
The initiative aims to help those in need locally, offering free family-sized soup with a loaf of Italian-style bread.
The project kicks off this Wednesday and will continue with delivery on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of each week. Delivery each day will be between 10AM and noon.
If you know someone in need, please contact The Black Goose in Wallaceburg at  (519) 627-4444. You can also message The Black Goose or Mark Childs on Facebook Messenger.
Childs and company believe they have enough volunteers to start the program. Those interested in helping are also asked to reach out.
The project is currently looking at helping feed 200-300 people each day of its operation.
