Another honour for a local student athlete.
Chatham-Kent Secondary School graduate and Dr. Jack Parry Award winner Ayden Blain has been named this year’s recipient of the Fergie Jenkins Bursary.
Officials with the Chatham Minor Baseball Association say Blain has excelled at every sport he has played, is a provincially rated track and field athlete, and three-time Ontario Baseball Champion with the Chatham Diamonds.
The $500 bursary will help Blain as he heads to Western University this fall to study mechanical engineering.
