A Blenheim man is facing several charges after an argument turned violent.
Chatham-Kent Police responded to a Catherine Street home Tuesday morning, shortly before 7 o’clock.
Further investigation showed two people who knew one another got into a dispute when the accused allegedly choked the victim, then fled the scene after police were called.
Officers were able to track down the suspect, who was taken into custody without incident.
The 55-year-old has since been charged with one count each of assault causing bodily harm, assault, mischief under $5000, and theft under $5000.
The man was taken to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
