Charges have been laid following a family dispute over the weekend.
Officers were called to a Blenheim home Sunday morning and say the accused assaulted a family member. The victim, a 61-year-old, was taken to hospital for medical attention.
The suspect fled the scene, but was tracked down later in the day.
The 31-year-old faces several charges, including aggravated assault, mischief, and uttering threats.
