Charges have been laid after a Blenheim resident found an unknown man inside his vehicle.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service was contacted by a 63-year-old man on Tuesday shortly before 3 p.m., after he returned to his vehicle to find an unknown individual inside, on Chatham Street South in Blenheim. When confronted, the individual was also found to have stolen property belonging to the 63-year-old.
Officers responded to the area and located a suspect who was arrested. The 43-year-old Blenheim man is now charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of stolen property under $5,000.
He was taken to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
