The Blenheim Youth Centre is partnering up with Access Open Minds CK in an effort to bring a video presentation dealing with mental health issues to young people and their families.

Since the pandemic the BYC has been focusing on mental health issues with their activities, field trips, speakers, and community events. The centre acts as a support system for young people dealing with school, family, peers, or general anxiety issues.

“There is no doubt the current climate we are facing has had a tremendous impact on the overall mental health and well-being of our youth and their families, and it is important to have resources and tools to help them cope during these times”, says L.A. Mercer, Manager, Community Engagement and Program Development. “As the current restrictions do not allow for us to meet with youth at the Centre, we knew we had to go virtual to bring this valuable resource to our BYC community, and hopefully reach even more people throughout Chatham-Kent.”

The presentation is set for the evening of Wednesday March 10th at 6:30. A link to the site will be emailed to registrants prior to the event and is open to youth, families and care givers.
