Chatham-Kent Police are keeping an eye on commercial drivers across the municipality.
Yesterday a safety blitz was carried out in partnership with the OPP and Ministries of Finance and Transportation.
A total of 55 charges were laid, ranging from vehicle maintenance to distracted driving.
Over half of the vehicles inspected – 23 out of 42 – were taken off the road.
