Block Parents in Trouble

The Chatham-Kent Block Parent Program is in trouble.

According to officials, without substantial funding in place by mid-April, the program will close.

Block parents have been a staple of the community for forty years, helping with personal safety awareness or injury prevention education.

It was announced earlier this year the program no longer qualified for funding through the United Way.

The program is hoping to hear from any future donors (serious inquiries only) before April 15, 2019 – contact the office manager at 519-354-0430 ext 267 or ckbpp@ciaccess.com

Block Parent homes and businesses will receive further information as soon as possible.
