An algae bloom is growing at a rapid pace in lake Erie.
The epicenter of the bloom seems to be the Toledo area, with pictures on social media showing a neon green shoreline.
The bloom is already massive, stretching almost all the way to Colchester Harbour.
Scientists have been saying for months they expect the 2019 bloom to be one of the largest in almost 20 years.
Researchers have been collecting water for testing and have found green water just west of Pelee Island.
Five years ago a toxic bloom caused a two-day shutdown of Toledo’s drinking water.
