A Chatham-Kent man remains behind bars following a confrontation on Duke Street.
Chatham-Kent Police say the man confronted the victim about blowing smoke out of her car window as she drove passed him on the street. Authorities say the accused was brandishing a flip knife at the time, despite being bound by a release order prohibiting from possessing any weapons.
The 60-year-old has been charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and failing to comply with a release order.
He was held in custody following a bail hearing and then transferred to the Southwest Regional Detention Centre until his next court appearance.
