A major league baseball organization has made sure a local team has the resources it needs for a fun and exciting season.

The Toronto Blue Jays Care Foundation, Little League Canada and Baseball Canada have made a donation of adaptive equipment,
t-shirts, merchandise, and a wide variety of coaching tools for the Community Living Wallaceburg Wolves.

The donation was made through the Challenger Baseball program earlier this summer, with 48 athletes regularly coming out to play throughout the season.

“Individuals connected to Community Living Wallaceburg and others in our community had the opportunity to get back into the swing of baseball after a tough few years off due to the pandemic,” said Coach Jayna Dantas. “I have really enjoyed watching all the athletes step out of their comfort zone, have great fun and get active and we plan to continue accessing this tremendous resource for years to come.”

The Jays Care Foundation promotes baseball as a tool to teach people essential skills such as teamwork and independence, how to build self-esteem, and develop the confidence to try new challenges.
