With high winds expected to whip across the region for much of the day, local residents are being urged to be careful.
Environment Canada says gusts could reach 70-80 km/hr at times this afternoon, strong enough to cause minor damage to trees and buildings, and possibly spark local power outages.
Officials say some areas could see gusts as high as 90 km/hr.
Winds will shift to northwest by this evening, then diminish quickly later tonight as a high pressure ridge moves in.
