Numerous complaints from area residents have sparked another warning about boat speeds on area waterways.
With historically high water levels, Chatham-Kent Police are reminding boaters to obey the 8 km/hr speed limit on inland rivers.
Municipal officials are also urging boaters to use some common courtesy, since the wake from passing boats can damage docks, seawalls, and other shoreline property.
While officials say most boaters are responsible, there may be some who aren’t aware of the damage they could cause.
