The search for a missing man has turned tragic in Chatham-Kent.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a report of a body in McGregor Creek in Chatham on Christmas Eve shortly after 10:30 a.m. Emergency crews recovered the body of a 23-year-old man who has since been identified as Dakota Gross.
Gross had been reported missing by police the day before and was last seen by a family member on December 20.
An investigation is ongoing but the death is not believed to be suspicious at this time.
