A tragic end to the search for a missing boater in Lake St. Clair.
Emergency crews responded to an area near the Belle River Marina in Lakeshore shortly before 8 o’clock Saturday evening.
Officials with Essex county OPP say an overdue boater was last seen struggling in the water, and authorities called in the Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre and the Canadian Coast Guard to help with the search.
The body of the 38-year-old from Windsor was found just after 4:30 Sunday afternoon.
