Tap water is now safe to consume in the communities of Wheatley and Tilbury.
The Chatham-Kent Public Utilities Commission announced that a boil water advisory for the Wheatley and Tilbury distribution systems has been rescinded.
Pipe repairs were completed on Wednesday and CK Public Health has confirmed that there have been two consecutive satisfactory water sample test results.
Dr. Shanker Nesathurai, Chatham-Kent’s acting medical officer of health, first issued the advisory on Monday.
