Chatham-Kent residents are being asked to donate their empties in support of early childhood literacy.

The Kiwanis Club of Chatham-Kent is partnering with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library for its annual fundraiser, Bottles for Books 2.0.

From May 19 to 23, residents can donate their empty liquor, wine, and beer bottles, as well as any alcohol or beer cans, to fund the distribution of books to children in Chatham-Kent.

The free, high-quality books are mailed out through the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, supporting children from birth until they start school, regardless of their family’s income.

Those interested in participating can arrange for bottle pickup or a drop-off location by filling out a form online. Click here for more information.
