Bowling A Strike For CK Victim Services

A fundraiser to support victims of crime and trauma has bowled a perfect game.

Businesses, organizations, and community members took part in the Bowling Thunder fundraiser at Chatham Bowlerama on February 4, raising over $12,000 for Chatham-Kent Victim Services.

“Once again the CK community has shown their generosity and helped us beat last year’s fundraising total by over $2,000,” said Jason Brown, volunteer and community engagement coordinator.

The funds will go towards the organization’s Crisis Services and Community Programming.

“The funds raised will help us continue offering dedicated, trauma-informed support to those impacted by crime and traumatic situations in every community across Chatham-Kent,” said Brown.

The fundraiser was sponsored locally by Teksavvy with the Chatham-Kent Police Service partnering to provide lunch for those who attended.

Chatham-Kent Victim Services provides short-term emotional support, crisis intervention, practical assistance, and community referrals to those impacted by crime, tragedy, and traumatic situations. For more information, click here.
