Bowling Event Raises $15k for Big Brothers Big Sisters

Over $15,000 was raised at the Bowl for Kids’ sake event this weekend.

The funds will go to Big Brother Big Sisters of Chatham-Kent, and Case Worker Holly Larivée says eleven teams participated in the bowling event in Chatham.

“It’s one of our annual fundraisers. We have a super hero theme, and we invite super heroes from our community to come and bowl with us. Some of the super heroes that came out this year include Chatham-Kent Fire & Emergency Services, Captain Positive, Chatham-Kent councillors, Rick Nicholls, local business, and lots of different people from our community,” explains Larivée.

She says they’re hoping to increase the number of teams participating next year.

“We would definitely welcome more teams to join us next year. You can come with a team of 4-6 people, collect pledges, and we provide 2 hours of free bowling as a thank you for supporting our cause,” says Larivée.
