An arrest has been made following a break-and-enter at a Wallaceburg business.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to the break-in at a commercial business on Baseline Road on Tuesday at around 7:45 a.m.
Authorities said video surveillance footage showed a man entering the business carrying a backpack and placing several items inside. The footage was also used to identify a suspect.
On Wednesday just after 2:30 p.m., officers located the suspect leaving a residence on Agnes Street and took him into custody.
As a result, a 34-year-old Wallaceburg man has been charged with break-and-enter, possession of stolen property under $5,000 and failing to comply with an undertaking. He was taken to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
