A man and a woman are facing charges after allegedly breaking into a storage facility in Dawn-Euphemia.
The Ontario Provincial Police said officers responded to the storage facility on Betpath Line after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area on Wednesday at around 6:50 p.m.
Officers arrived to find the parked vehicle and determined that it and only just recently arrived. The OPP K9 Unit and the Emergency Response Team attended the scene and arrested two people within the building.
During a search of the suspects, officers also allegedly seized a quantity of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, and hydromorphone.
As a result, a 27-year-old Chatham woman and a 54-year-old St. Thomas man have been charged with break and enter and three counts each of possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking. The man is additionally charged with failing to comply with a release order.
The pair were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
