Break and Enters over the weekend had C-K Police busy.

Fire arms were the taken from a Thamesville residence on Elizabeth St.  Police are trying to quickly recover a Remington .308 caliber semi-automatic rifle, a Cooey single shot 12 gauge shotgun and unknown make 12 gauge single shot shotgun.  Having guns stolen and on the street are a major concern for police.

Sometime over the weekend suspects entered a fenced compound on St. Clair Street in  Chatham and targeted copper wire.

There has been a real rise in the theft of copper wire around the municipality according to Constable Dave Bakker with CrimeStoppers.

About $1500 worth of wire was taken from the compound and about $500 worth of damage was done.
