Break Out The Rackets 

With warmer temperatures on the horizon, outdoor municipal sports courts are being reopened for use.

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent announced on Thursday that nets have been reinstalled and tennis and pickleball courts are now open throughout the municipality.

Windscreening will also be installed soon at the new pickleball courts in Dresden, Blenheim, Wallaceburg, and Tilbury, which were completed late last year.

Courts are available for public use on a first-come-first-served basis, except during posted times reserved for local clubs and schools.

Pickleball and tennis courts are available for use at the following locations in Chatham-Kent:

  • Centennial Park Pickleball Courts, 19955 Pook Road, Blenheim
  • Doug Allin Tennis Courts, 300 Cecile Ave., Chatham
  • Jackson Park Pickleball Courts, 319 Brown St., Dresden
  • Joe Carpenter Tennis Courts, 287 McNaughton Ave., Chatham
  • Kinsmen Park Tennis Court, 760 Tecumseh St., Dresden
  • Kiwanis Park Tennis Courts, 5 George St., Ridgetown
  • Laverne Kelly Memorial Park Pickleball Courts, 1315 Mariners Road, Erieau
  • Memorial Park Tennis Courts and Pickleball Courts, 24 Stewart Street, Tilbury
  • Parc Centennaire Tennis Courts, 16 Notre Dame, Pain Court
  • Steinhoff Park Tennis Courts and Pickleball Courts, 220 Napier St., Wallaceburg
  • Victoria Park Tennis Courts, 498 Elm St., Bothwell
