BRENDA’S CHOCOLATE MELTAWAYS

2 C. cake flour

1/8 tsp. salt

¾ C. butter

1 C. sugar

½ tsp. vanilla

1 egg

2 T. milk 2 sqs. unsweetened chocolate (2 oz.)

½ C. finely chopped walnuts

5 tsp. sweet cocoa beverage mix

 

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Beat egg until thick. Beat into creamed mixture. Add chocolate melted in milk. Gradually add flour and salt mixed together. Turn out on wax paper. Shape into rectangle with a spatula. Cover and freeze firm. Cut into 4 portions. Remove one portion at time. Shape into 18 balls. Roll in nuts mixed with cocoa mix. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 375° 10 minutes.
