High praise for a collaborative event involving Chatham-Kent’s four craft breweries.
BrewFest CK, involving Sons of Kent Brewing, Bayside Brewing, Red Barn Brewing Company, and Glasstown Brewing Company, has been named a finalist for the Culinary & Agritourism Award of Excellence at the 2025 Ontario Tourism Awards of Excellence.
The award recognizes a business, festival, or organization that delivers authentic, locally inspired culinary or agritourism experiences which celebrate regional ingredients, producers, and stories, connecting visitors to place through food and drink.
“This recognition is shared by all four breweries who come together to make BrewFest CK possible,” reads a statement from the BrewFest CK Committee. “It’s proof that when independent breweries and local partners collaborate, we can create something truly special for our community and for Ontario’s tourism landscape.”
The 4th annual BrewFest CK drew over 3500 visitors across all participating breweries, supporting local charities and organizations. This year’s funding recipients included the Kiwanis Club of Chatham-Kent, Handy Bros. Heroes, Erieau Yacht Club (Kids Program) & Erieau Community Association, and Community Living Wallaceburg.
The Ontario Tourism Awards of Excellence Gala will take place on October 29, 2025 in Ottawa.
