Commuters in the Wallaceburg area are in for traffic headaches over the next several months.
The Municipality of Chatham-Kent will be shutting down Dufferin Avenue at the bridge over Running Creek beginning on Friday for rehabilitation work.
Dufferin Avenue will be completely closed to vehicles and pedestrians at the bridge site from July 31 until December 15.
A posted detour around the site will be in place for the duration of the rehabilitation project. The detour is comprised of Highway 40 north to Sarnia, Langstaff Line and St. Clair Parkway.
The $1.9 million rehabilitation project was given final approval by CK Council in June.
