Public Works crews are trying to get to the bottom of problems on Chatham’s Keil Drive Bridge. 
The span has been reduced to a single lane in both directions for the next few weeks.
Officials say the cause of damage to the bridge deck isn’t clear at this point, but are reassuring drivers there is no issue with the span’s structural integrity.
One of the sidewalks will also be closed while the work continues.
Motorists should expect delays for the duration of the repairs, which is expected to wrap up July 18th.
