Plans are coming together for a throw-back celebration to mark the reopening of Chatham’s Third Street Bridge.
Bridgerama Day 2022 now has an official date, set for June 25th with festivities running from 11am to 7pm.
The event is based on a three-day celebration that took place in 1962 to commemorate the first opening of the Third Street Bridge.
Organizers are still looking for entertainers to perform on stage, vendors and community groups to set up booths along King Street, hand-crafters for a demonstration area, and sponsors.
The Third Street Bridge has been closed since April 26, 2021, for a $14 million rehabilitation project and after several delays, is set to reopen next month.
