Despite some wet weather, organizers are all smiles following the 168th annual Brigden Fair.
Julie Maw says it’s truly a team effort with more than 200 volunteers and lots of support.
“The town of Brigden and the community put on the Brigden Fair. We couldn’t have done it without the town, and we are very thankful for everyone who came, and at the same time, everyone in the community for their support and for helping to make it happen,” says Maw.
Because of the rain, attendance was down with just over 34,000 people coming out over the Thanksgiving weekend.
“We’re down in numbers, but we’re so thankful for all who came out and kept up with the Thanksgiving tradition and weathered the storms and the mud,” Maw says.
Plans are already in the works for next year’s 169th edition of the Brigden Fair, which will follow the theme Cowbells & Carousels.
